Jesus Loves You

(Moderate Reading)

Friend, it is such a privilege to have you reading this right now.  You are so loved, and I hope you know that.  If not, by the end of this message, you will.  If the emptiness of this life is bringing you down, you will be shown a way out of that emptiness and into a new life.  If shame from your past exists, that will be wiped clean.  If you doubt whether or not you are going to heaven, you will know for certain.

About 2000 years ago, God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die to pay for the sins of humanity.  Sin entered the world due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and until Christ arrived, rituals and sacrifices were needed to pay for the debt of sin.  Once Jesus came and voluntarily offered Himself an eternal sacrifice for the sins of humanity, the world entered a new covenant of grace and truth because of what Jesus did.  We received the option of true eternal freedom, friend.  Our sins wiped away, eternal life in heaven, and a peace beyond compare, no matter what happens in this crazy life.  He did it all for us because of His tremendous love and compassion.

What did Jesus ask in response to this gift?  He told us to turn away from our sins, believe in Him, and after our conversion, we must live a life that shows that we love Him by living a life pleasing to Him (He gives grace and forgiveness when we fail, but we must do our best).  “Living a life pleasing to Him” is found in the Bible and the moral guidance it gives for us, and truly it is a much better way to live.  Don’t overthink it, Jesus offered us and all humanity “the job,” but we must accept it.  He will then put us through training and we will become workers for Him (some days are hard, yes, but my goodness the “wages” are great and it is an entirely recession proof eternal retirement plan 😊).  Heaven is a place of perfection, and that is why we need Jesus to enter, since He “pardoned” our sins by taking them on Himself.  Jesus did this for anyone who receives Him as Lord.  There is no sin too bad to be forgiven by Jesus, friend, or else I would not be writing this.  Once you give your life to Jesus, your name is written in what is called the Lamb’s Book of Life, and heaven is where you will spend eternity; no more pain, hardship, death, sadness.  Again, try not to overthink it.  To relate, just as certain stores, or buildings require keycards or have membership requirements, Heaven requires that you are sinless, and that is why Jesus is the only way into heaven for us, because we all have and do sin.

The hard part to talk about is that God also made hell for those that reject Him and as a place of justice.  How often do we want justice in this life?  The problem is, I am not sure about you, but I tend to look at who I deem to be “really bad people” and want justice for them, but if someone saw the thoughts of my mind or saw all the things I have done, I would belong there too, even still after being saved.  Either we have Jesus, or we do not, just like the “keycard/membership” analogy.  Many think God is cruel for having rules, yet all aspects of our lives have laws and rules, ranging from physics, to workplace ethics, driving rules, etc. Of course there would be a moral law made by a good and just God.  Jesus wants everyone to be in heaven, but He will not force us to choose Him, we have to do it voluntarily.  If when I proposed to my wife she said, “No way,” I would not force her to love me or want me.  Same thing here friend.

If you would like to make Jesus your Lord and Savior, you can do that right now.  It starts with a prayer of salvation.  Please pray with me, and consider this to be the equivalent of wedding vows.  After this prayer, you are indeed saved.  The sign of a good marriage, however, is what happens years after the vows.  Perfection is not possible, but pursue and love Jesus in response to His love for you.

Believe: Please Pray:  “Jesus, I confess with my mouth that You are Lord.  I believe in my heart that You died for my sins and arose on the 3rd day, defeating death.  Please forgive me of my sins, and grant me eternal life in Heaven, forever. Amen”

Baptism:  This signifies the physical side of what just happened in your heart.  Baptism is not salvation, the prayer that you prayed to accept Jesus was.  The reality is that Jesus has cleansed you, and you are born again!! A new life and a new beginning!!  Baptism signifies your death to sin and emergence into new life (Just like Jesus died and rose again from the dead).  It’s such an exciting day!!!  Schedule it with one of our churches on our church finder, or email us and we will come to you onsite!

Bear Fruit:  Like we said, this is a marriage-type of relationship.  Now learn your Bible, attend a healthy church, and stay away from sin so Satan doesn’t try to make you fall away from your new faith.  If you sin, pray for forgiveness, and keep praying.  Jesus will stay by your side and guide you with his word (don’t follow a group of people that want Jesus but reject the Bible… danger).  Start off reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John for the first 6 months after your salvation.  Then get a good Bible reading plan to assist you with your journey and stay strong my friend.
